jouissance x perediza

JOY,

the pleasure was all mine

ABOUT

For this project, perediza collaborated with Jouissance Parfums (@jouissanceparfums) on an editorial for perediza issue iv, built around luxury's most invisible object — perfume.

We conceptualized and developed the creative vision, visual direction, styling, and narrative — framing scent as a quiet language of resistance and self-definition in times of recession. From Jean Patou's Joy(1930) to the "lipstick effect," the story traces how the small, chosen excess becomes the truest form of permanence.

The visuals draw from Bertolucci's The Dreamers— young intellectuals and cinephiles building intimate worlds inside one apartment while the outside world falls apart. Accompanied by a critical text from M.P.S. Simpson, the editorial unfolds through Jouissance as a character: a woman chasing pleasure without apology, spoiling herself while the world tells her to shrink.
