For this project, perediza collaborated with Ethical Eyewear (@ethicaleyewear) on an editorial story for perediza issue iv— "We become what we choose to frame."
We conceptualized and developed the creative vision, visual direction, and narrative — drawing from the history of the Polaroid as a counterpoint to our filtered, endlessly edited age. No retouching, only presence. What develops is what was there.
perediza profiled four contributors — one from each category of issue iv: climate change, art, style, and life — each invited to select a frame they resonated with, both aesthetically and philosophically. Shot on Polaroid in spaces of their choosing — studios, restaurants, corners of quiet meaning — the portraits resist staging in favour of sincerity, accompanied by handwritten reflections to form a tactile 4-page spread.
Part editorial, part exhibition: a showcase of Ethical Eyewear's products, yes — but also a meditation on vision, value, and the ethics of being seen.
